Calm Spring Counseling Group

Job Description

Position Overview\n

Calm Spring Counseling Group is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our expanding team in a fully remote capacity. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide therapeutic support to clients across the country from the comfort of your home. We are looking for a licensed professional who can build rapport with clients, manage individual therapy sessions, and help facilitate their journey toward improved mental health. The ideal candidate will have a firm commitment to utilizing evidence-based therapies and a genuine passion for serving clients from diverse backgrounds.

About the Organization\n

Calm Spring Counseling Group is a progressive mental health organization based in Sacramento, California. Our mission is to connect licensed counselors with clients who require compassionate care, especially those who might feel isolated in traditional therapeutic settings. We emphasize the importance of pre-screened clients to ensure stability and low acuity, allowing counselors to focus on providing effective therapeutic solutions. As a member of our team, you will have access to innovative tools and a supportive work culture that prioritizes both client and clinician well-being.

Work Environment\n

In this entirely remote position, you will work from your own home office, providing therapy through a secure online platform. We require that you have a reliable internet connection and a private space where you can conduct sessions without interruptions to maintain client confidentiality. Our operational hours are from Monday to Friday, between 9 AM and 5 PM, allowing for flexible scheduling while promoting a work-life balance. There is no on-call duty associated with this role, enabling you to dedicate your time fully to your clients during scheduled sessions.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Conduct virtual assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' mental health needs and substance abuse histories.
  • \n
  • Lead evidence-informed individual and group therapy sessions, tailoring your approach to meet each client’s unique circumstances.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on adolescents and young adults who are stable and presenting with low acuity concerns. Clients are pre-screened to ensure a better match with counselors, allowing practitioners to engage with individuals who are ready to commit to their therapeutic journey. The opportunity to work with this demographic means potentially influencing younger generations and making lasting impacts on their lives.

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is mandatory.
  • \n
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) is essential.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated experience in providing telehealth therapy services, particularly to a younger client population.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in using digital tools such as Google Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHRs) for documentation and session management.
  • \n
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, complemented by a professional demeanor during client interactions.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n
    \n
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • \n
  • A willingness to participate in ongoing training and integration of evidence-based treatment pathways specific to the Calm Spring model.
  • \n
  • A knack for utilizing warmth and empathy to engage patients effectively, supporting their therapeutic journey.
  • \n

  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with your experience and demonstrated capabilities.
  • \n
  • A comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement planning options, and generous paid time off policies.
  • \n
  • Financial assistance for continuing education and professional development to further your career.
  • \n
  • Flexible work arrangements that encourage a balanced lifestyle and respect individual preferences.
  • \n
