Advantage Steel Fabrication – Saxonburg, PAAdvantage Steel Fabrication is looking for an experienced Fabricator / Fitter to join our team in Saxonburg, PA. This position is responsible for fitting and fabricating structural steel components used in construction and infrastructure projects.The ideal candidate has experience working with structural steel, can read fabrication drawings, and takes pride in producing quality work in a safe, team-oriented environment.Position DetailsSchedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PMJob Type: Full-timeOvertime: Available as neededBenefits Include:Medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off (PTO)9 paid company holidays401(k) with employer matchProfit sharingHealth Savings Account (HSA)Responsibilities:Fit and fabricate structural steel components according to drawings and specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication drawingsPerform layout, cutting, fitting, and welding tasksFollow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and quality standardsOperate fabrication equipment safely and efficientlyMaintain a clean and safe work environmentQualifications:2+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication preferredExperience in an AISC, AWS, ASME, or API-certified fabrication environment preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbolsKnowledge of structural steel fitting and fabrication processesExperience with welding processes including SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW preferredUnderstanding of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)Knowledge of AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel preferredAWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code experience is a plusAbility to successfully complete welder qualification testing in multiple positionsExperience operating fabrication equipment, including:Press brakesShearsIronworkersDrill presses/magnetic drillsOxyfuel and plasma cutting equipmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safetyHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school education preferredAbout Advantage Steel Fabrication:Advantage Steel Fabrication specializes in structural steel fabrication and custom steel solutions. We look forward to meeting you!This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects, and in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may require working at heights, around heavy equipment, around high voltage, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.Some positions with the company will have access to confidential and proprietary information.
