About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Experience: Endoscopy intraprocedure experience is required. License: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State. Certifications: Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. Must-Have: Endoscopy intraprocedure experience is essential. Description: Provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Apply professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care is necessary. Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to administer patient care is essential. Understanding of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment is required. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care is necessary. Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions is essential. Skill in preparing and maintaining records and writing reports is required. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public is necessary. Ability to analyze situations and apply critical thinking is essential. Effective communication skills are required. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations is necessary. Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and stooping are required. Frequent lifting/moving of patients is necessary. Intermittent lifting, moving or carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs is required. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity is essential. Constant reaching with hands/arms is necessary. Frequent talking or hearing is required. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range is necessary. Exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue may occur. Possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases, and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment is possible. Moderate noise level in the work area should be expected. Ability to work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours is required. May be required to take call and/or work weekends/holidays based on departmental needs.
