Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician primarily responsible for mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and machine repair. The role involves working with hydraulic systems, reading blueprints, and replacing valves. You will handle 24v up to 480v 3-phase motors, with a workload that includes 30% reactive maintenance and 70% preventive maintenance. While troubleshooting equipment, you will also work on projects such as rebuilding cylinders. Experience with welding and fabrication is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance on production lines, drives, gauges, and test equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
• Rebuild pumps and replace rollers and drives.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Engage in preventative maintenance, machine repair, and fabrication tasks.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience in pump rebuild, troubleshooting, and repair.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.

Work Environment

The facility produces raw materials for other sites and is a 35-person location with a clean and moderate temperature environment. While the technicians will not directly handle fiberglass, they will be around it, with a slight resin smell present. Shift schedule is 3rd shift Monday-Friday. Training is flexible to either 1st or 3rd shift based on candidate needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grabill, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.15 - $38.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
