REGISTERED NURSE (RN) FT NIGHTS

RNs will provide general nursing care to patients in the hospital, completing a psychosocial and physical, environmental, self‑care, educational and discharge planning assessment of the patient through interview, observation and inspection, auscultation, palpitation and documenting all admissions per service line policy. RNs are responsible for identifying patients’ present and potential problems from information gathered in the initial and continued assessments; collaborate with physicians, the interdisciplinary team, clients and families in making decisions regarding patients’ need for nursing care; initiate a problem list within the timeframe established by service standard using approved taxonomy; prioritize problems based on client’s health status; establish specific and measurable individualized client care goals; and ensure discharge needs/plan reflective of an interdisciplinary approach and are initiated on admission. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing. One to two years of rehab or med‑surg experience or training. CRRN certification preferred. BLS certification. Ability to read and communicate effectively and positively in English. Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.
