Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care to patients in the Emergency Department by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role requires critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of patient care. Responsibilities Demonstrate critical thinking in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of patient care. Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training. Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff. Provide direction and supervision to personnel delivering patient care. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. Arizona nursing license is required. Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred. Willingness to float to other departments as needed. Work Schedule This position requires a day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on a 3x12 basis. A 48-hour guarantee is considered for this role. Facility Information Located in a certified Trauma Level III and Stroke Receiving facility, with capability as a STEMI Receiving center.
