**Experience Requirements:** - Only screen first-time travelers if they have 2-3 years of ER experience. - 18 months of experience required, with possible exceptions depending on the unit. - Previous charge experience not specified as required. **Certifications Required:** - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) **Licensure:** - License must be in hand prior to start date. - Temporary licenses may be obtainable upon submission of permanent license applications. **Skills:** - Care of ventilated patients - Continuous IV sedation - General Emergency Department care for combined Adult/Pediatric patients - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Starting and maintaining IVs - Triage **Travel and Floating:** - Floating to nearby sister facilities is rarely required. - Mandatory floating within hospital or to an affiliate hospital as needed. **Educational Institution:** - Travelers’ university must be accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation. **References:** - Two supervisor references required. **Holiday Requirement:** - Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. **Vaccination:** - Flu Vaccine required, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons. - COVID-19 Vaccine not required.
