Job purpose summary:

The Cashier is the face of our store and plays a critical role in creating a friendly and efficient checkout experience for customers. This position requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Greet every customer warmly, professionally and with a smile.
• Accurately ring up purchases using the POS system.
• Accept and process various forms of payment (cash, credit card, etc.).
• Count back change and handle money with accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked register area.
• Uphold store policies and health/safety standards.
• Support opening and closing duties including facing shelves and restocking supplies.
• Assist customers with questions and direct them to the appropriate department.
• Notify leadership any customer or equipment issues.

Qualifications

Key Qualifications

• 6+ months of retail or cashiering experience preferred.
• Strong math and communication skills.
• Friendly, patient, and positive attitude.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.
• Familiarity with natural foods and wellness products is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Proper attendance, and adequate transportation required.
