HR Assistant

HR Assistant – Payroll Support Pay: $20–$25/hour Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and organized HR Assistant to support payroll, recruiting, and day-to-day HR activities. This role will assist with APD payroll , job postings, candidate phone screens, job fairs, and other administrative HR functions. Responsibilities Assist with processing and maintaining payroll using APD Payroll Post and maintain job openings on Indeed and other recruiting platforms Review applicants and conduct initial phone screens Assist with scheduling interviews and coordinating candidates Represent the company at job fairs and recruiting events Maintain accurate employee and recruiting records Provide general administrative support to the HR team Assist with other HR and recruiting projects as needed Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience in HR, payroll, recruiting, or administrative support Experience with APD Payroll preferred Comfortable using Indeed and online recruiting platforms Strong communication and organizational skills Professional and friendly phone manner Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities Previous recruiting or job fair experience is a plus EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
