CNC Milling/Lathe Machine Lead-Weekend Day Shift

ARCH - Minneapolis is looking for a CNC Milling/Lathe Machine Lead to join our weekend day shift team! If you are looking for an opportunity to coach and develop other machinist while still being hands on as a working lead this may be the next career for you!

In this role you will focus on determining work assignments and resolving issues for the team, train other machinists, provide leadership to inexperienced machinists, maintenance requests, safety incident reporting, manage production schedule and machine high-quality parts on a timely basis to meet customer demands and at times performing set-ups, modifying, and creating programs, and operating various types of CNC Machines.

Competitive rates - $35.00-$46.00 per hour depending on experience. 15% shift differential. High school diploma or GED equivalent At least 5 years' relevant experience in a machining environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2-year previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Contract Manufacturing experience highly desirable Proven ability to work in a fast past work environment. Knowledge and understanding of ERP system and Microsoft office suite. Ability to read blueprints, use micrometers, calipers, and other QA gauges Ability to set up and operate machine tools. Ability to program machine tools. Due to contractual requirements, this position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Machine Tool Technology degree (completed or pursuing) A minimum of 1 years' experience operating a CNC mill machine Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to read and understand blueprints Strong attention to detail Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, continuous mental and visual attention is needed. The ability to stand for a shift, sit, talk and hear is frequently required. Lifting up to 40 pounds is required. Exposure to manufacturing areas where temperature may vary and personal protective equipment is required.
