Job Title: Warehouse Worker / Supply Specialist Job Description

This role supports a medical complex by performing essential materials management, distribution, and logistics tasks that ensure clinical teams receive the supplies they need on time. You will determine replenishment requirements, accurately locate and select medical supplies, document the issuance and movement of materials, and handle the receipt and distribution of supplies and equipment. The position combines hands-on warehouse work with careful documentation and computer-based recordkeeping in a clean, climate-controlled healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Determine replenishment requirements for medical supplies and ensure inventory levels meet clinical needs.

• Locate, select, and pick medical supplies accurately using order documentation and scanning tools.

• Document the issue, movement, and distribution of supplies and equipment in accordance with department procedures.

• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against documentation, and process shipping and receiving records.

• Perform packing, packaging, and labeling of supplies for internal distribution within the medical complex.

• Use RF scanners and related technology to record materials, track inventory, and update system records.

• Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts to maintain accurate warehouse inventory levels.

• Perform quality control checks on supplies and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Handle materials safely and efficiently, including loading, unloading, and stocking shipments.

• Use email and computer systems, including Microsoft Office and logistics or ERP tools such as SAP, to manage orders and inventory data.

• Coordinate with clinical and materials management staff to ensure timely delivery of supplies to the appropriate hospital departments.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with hospital and departmental standards.

• Contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere by communicating effectively and supporting coworkers as needed.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• At least 1 year of related work experience in materials management, warehouse, logistics, or a similar field.

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

• Demonstrated ability to perform recordkeeping tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

• Experience performing physical inventories and quality control checks.

• Computer literacy with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to stand on your feet for the full shift.

• Physical ability to pick orders, stock shipments, and handle materials safely.

• Ability to use scanners to record materials and track inventory.

• Material handling and logistics experience, including shipping and receiving.

• Order picking experience using RF scanners or similar devices.

• Familiarity with warehouse inventory practices and basic logistics workflows.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a healthcare or hospital logistics environment.

• Comfort using a scan gun and other warehouse scanning technology.

• Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse or distribution setting.

• Exposure to logistics systems or ERP platforms such as SAP.

• Experience with packaging, labeling, and preparing orders for internal distribution.

• Ability to use email and digital communication tools in a professional setting.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory records.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and build positive working relationships.

Work Environment

The role is based in a hospital setting within a clean, climate-controlled materials management and warehouse environment. You will work closely with clinical and support staff in a team-oriented atmosphere that emphasizes collaboration and reliability. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The dress code allows for scrubs or office casual attire paired with sneakers, providing comfort and practicality for a role that involves standing, walking, and material handling throughout the day. The environment includes the use of warehouse equipment such as RF scanners and computers, along with standard office software and logistics systems to support inventory and distribution activities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Bluffton, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34000.00 - $41600.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
