Sharpsville Container Corporation is seeking skilled Welders to join our team. Welding is a skill of precision and consistency, here at Sharpsville Container we are seeking Welders who take great pride in the quality of their work and accomplishments. Specific duties the job requires in order to accomplish the above:

• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use personal protective equipment.
• Review shop order documentation to ensure that all requirements for the order are understood.
• Read and comprehend engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications to plan.
• Obtain necessary material, tools and fixtures to perform the work which must be done.
• Inspect all material tools and fixtures to ensure that they are correct for the job.
• Organize the work area so that necessary materials, tools and fixtures are conveniently and safely located.
• Use established good manufacturing practices and published work instructions to manufacture product in accordance with the shop order documents.
• Operate angle grinders in preparation of the welding process.
• Notify the working leader or supervisor of any problems that occur, either with the documentation or with the production of the item.
• Accurately complete all paperwork associated with the tasks being performed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Clean all tools and fixtures after use and return them to the proper storage areas.
• Notify the working leader or supervisor when the task is complete or when a problem makes it impossible to continue working on the assigned job.

Experience the job requires:

Experience in a welding and fabricating operation

Education/training the job requires:

• Minimum high school graduate / GED/ or
• Trade school training in welding, fabricating and blueprint reading.

Other skills, competencies required:

• SUB ARC a plus but not required
• Attention to detail
• Math skills
• Ability to work independently and well without supervision
• Fork truck license
