Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• In conjunction with engineering and manufacturing personnel, develops and implements Quality Control processes and programs.
• Helps establish quality improvement goals and objectives that support company financial plans and customer requirements.
• Develops quality plans and documentation requirements, including the use of statistically valid sampling methods, to evaluate product at every stage of the manufacturing process.
• Provides training to manufacturing personnel in the use of statistical techniques.
• In conjunction with engineering and manufacturing personnel, develops inspection and testing methods, and interprets customer product evaluation requirements.
• Develops quality training material and conducts training as required.
• Evaluates and measures compliance to company, industry and customer quality requirements.
• Conducts internal and external quality audits.
• Assists in identifying and implementing cost effective, innovative technical solutions in the quality control field.
• Confers with management, customers and suppliers in planning, scheduling, coordinating and directing quality activities to ensure conformance to customer requirements and specifications.
• Supporting company policies, procedures, goals, objectives and goods manufacturing practices.
• Applies Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools to the production process.
• Performs root cause corrective action (RCCA) analysis in the disposition of non-conforming material.
• Support Manufacture engineer in Non-conform material disposition when is required. AS9100 knowledge and understanding.
• Participate in continues improvements events when is required.

Required Experience:

•Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience in a quality field, aerospace preferred

•Familiarity with ISO 9000 and AS9100 quality standards.

•Excellent knowledge of statistical techniques.

•Experience in Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies.

•Experience with APQP, and PPAP requirements.

•Special Process/NADCAP knowledge.

•Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Project – Minitab a plus.

•Must possess solid analytical skills in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in a shop floor environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
