Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse - Night Shift - The healthcare provider is seeking a qualified Medical Surgical Nurse to join the team in a busy, academic hospital setting. This role involves caring for patients post-surgery, with a focus on colorectal and urologic surgeries, requiring collaboration with Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses for wound and ostomy care.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: 1 year of experience required at a 600+ bed academic hospital with passing competency testing score, or 2 years of experience with no testing required.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include caring for post-surgical patients with TPN, NG tubes, and central lines, and working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
• Competency test is required within 24 hours of submission and will be sent via email.
• Emergency Room experience is required.
• NNHY blue scrubs are required for dress code.
• Must provide an up-to-date email address at the time of submission for assessment communication.
• Willingness to review clinicians with pending state licensure is preferred.
• No block schedule or 48-hour requests.
• Local candidates from residents in eligible counties are required, with exceptions based on the latest guidelines.
• Candidates must have Epic experience.
