Phlebotomy Technician

Pay Range: $22hr - $27.20hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Keyboard and data entry experience.
• Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call schedules as needed.

Experience:

• Experience performing clinical and forensic specimen collection.
• Experience preparing specimens for laboratory testing.
• Experience maintaining patient records and documentation.
• Experience working in healthcare, laboratory, retail, or service environments preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Draw quality blood samples from patients following established procedures.
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing.
• Perform specimen collection and processing duties accurately and safely.
• Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with established procedures.
• Create a professional and welcoming environment for patients.
• Explain procedures clearly and professionally to patients.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
• Perform daily activities accurately and within established timelines under supervisor direction.

Should Have:

• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• One plus years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-volume environments.
