Toddler Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education
Location: The Learning Experience - Hell's Kitchen, New York, NY
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Hell's Kitchen is hiring a qualified Toddler Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team!

We're looking for a caring, creative educator who enjoys guiding toddlers through important milestones, creating engaging learning experiences, and building strong relationships with children and families.

An associate degree in Early Childhood Education is required for this position.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily activities and routines in a Toddler classroom

• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum through engaging, age-appropriate lessons

• Encourage language development, independence, and positive social interactions

• Create hands-on learning experiences through art, music, movement, and sensory play

• Support meals, diapering, toilet training, rest time, and classroom transitions

• Maintain consistent routines and use positive behavior guidance

• Observe developmental milestones and communicate regularly with families

• Mentor and collaborate with Assistant Teachers

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom

• Follow NYC childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education required

• Previous professional toddler, daycare, or early childhood education experience preferred

• Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred

• Understanding of toddler development, positive guidance, and classroom management

• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

• Patient, dependable, nurturing, and enthusiastic about early childhood education

• Must meet applicable NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene childcare requirements
