We are looking for a friendly and outgoing host/hostess to join our team at The Daily Catch Waterfront! Restaurant: The Daily Catch Waterfront Job Title: Host/Hostess Experience: 1-3 Years Address: 65 Atlantic Ave, Boston MA Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time; Lunch & Dinner Pay: Hourly starting at $17.00 - $22.00 About Us The Daily Catch, established in 1973 in Boston, MA, are family-owned and operated Sicilian-style seafood and pasta restaurants. We have 3 locations in Boston and a wholesale seafood business based out of Boston's Fish Pier. We serve local New England fish species cooked with family recipes that continue to satisfy seafood lovers from around the world. Job Summary The Daily Catch Restaurant is seeking a friendly and attentive host/hostess to join our team. As a host/hostess, you will be responsible for greeting customers, managing the seating arrangements, taking to-go orders, and ensuring that all guests have a positive dining experience. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant, assisting with food and beverage service, and handling customer inquiries. Benefits Full-time employees are eligible for benefits PTO (Paid Time Off) Medical, Prescription, Dental, and Vision 401(k) Retirement Plan Responsibilities Greet customers as they arrive and seat them at their tables Manage the waitlist and reservations, calling to confirm reservations Provide customers with menus and answer any questions they may have Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant, including the reception area and dining room Ensure that tables are cleared and cleaned promptly Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism Work closely with the kitchen and servers to ensure that guests receive prompt service Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking supplies Provide excellent customer service at all times Qualifications and Experience Preferred: 1-year previous experience as a host in a high-volume restaurant/bar Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25pounds Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Company Culture The Daily Catch is committed to fostering a strong company culture filled with opportunities for learning and growing.
