Are you ready to make a difference?The ability to work onsite in Jacksonville, FL, 3 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday) is a requirement of this role.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary contact for policyholders, employers, and employees on claims and coverage inquiriesAdminister life, disability, and leave claims, including coordination of death claimsResolve escalations related to claims, billing, and contract interpretationPartner with HR, Benefits, and Payroll teams across multiple locationsProvide reporting on claims status, outstanding items, and Evidence of InsurabilitySkills and Background You'll NeedEducation: Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience: 3+ years of experience in Life and disability, PFML, and Voluntary benefits.Experience managing claims processes and resolving complex customer inquiriesStrong knowledge of benefit contract interpretation and premium administrationDemonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and business unitsStrong verbal communication skills with a focus on empathy and customer serviceProficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience coordinating projects and cross-functional workExperience supporting group life, disability, and leave programs in a corporate or insurance environmentKey Behaviors of a Successful CandidateCustomer Focus: Builds strong relationships and delivers responsive, high-quality service in sensitive situationsAdaptability: Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and business needs while maintaining performanceSound Judgment: Analyzes complex situations and makes informed, independent decisionsWe have built an enduring legacy of stability, financial strength and exceptional customer service through the contributions of the service-oriented people who choose to work at The Standard.
