Job Details Job Location: Rosenthal Way - Cincinnati, OH 45204 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Not Specified Travel Percentage: Negligible Job Shift: Day Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services Responsibilities Assists with the inspection, sorting, and stacking of Food Room inventory by placing items on racks, shelves, or in bins. Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms. Clean the Food Room area, including floors, and maintain a safe work environment. Assist clients by providing information on proper food preparation, handling, nutrition, and storage. Operate power jacks, forklifts, and other equipment to move product into and out of the Food Room in the routine handling of Food Room inventory. Assist with the maintenance of Food Room inventory and the maintenance and cleanliness of the Food Room at the direction of the Food Room Supervisor and in accordance with American’s Second Harvest and other applicable standards. Coordinate with volunteers to ensure that clients are served and the Food Room is well maintained. Weigh and record the amounts of food, produce, and Personal Hygiene Products given to each client. Use computer to enter information into the Client Services data system. Serve as the “point if contact” in the Food Room; greet the clients upon their arrival in the Food Room, process their electronic referral and explain the process for picking out their food allotment. Other duties as assigned by Food Room Team Leader and Division Director. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED with two to three years related experience in food service and warehouse environments. Good communication and organizational skills. Experience in providing excellent customer service and good interpersonal skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole units of measure. Ability to accurately enter information into a database. Ability to use pallet jack, forklift, and power material handling equipment. Ability to work with a diverse clientele; respect for diversity in clients and staff. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access and Word and other database software. Able to be Food Safe certifiable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
