Make a real difference in the lives of students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant working within a supportive school community near Clermont, FL. This contract position is perfect for professionals seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic educational environment, with opportunities to collaborate across four elementary campuses (K-5, with some Pre-K students). Full-time hours are scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm, with a daily 30-minute unpaid lunch. The position will begin on August 10, 2026, and continue through May 28, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid professional Florida Occupational Therapy Assistant license
• Previous school-based experience is strongly preferred, though all qualified candidates will be considered
• Comfort working across multiple school locations in an itinerant model
• Ability to support a diverse caseload of approximately 46–60 students (final number may be subject to roster finalization)
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implement occupational therapy activities and interventions under the supervision of a licensed OT
• Assist students with developing or improving fine motor, sensory-motor, and daily living skills within the classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with instructional staff to support student goals
• Maintain thorough records for progress and provide consistent, high-quality support to assigned students
• Travel as needed between assigned schools within schedule

Additional Details:The onboarding process includes a two-part credentialing required by the district, with documents issued directly. Training and orientation will be provided. You will not be required to attend meetings designated exclusively for OTs.
