About This Role The Registered Nurse (RN) in Med Surg at Northwell Health is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Highlights Location: Sleepy Hollow, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time What You'll Do Conduct patient interviews and assess health status across multiple systems. Develop and adjust individualized patient care plans based on assessments. Implement and document the plan of care, ensuring safety and effective treatment. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members on patient care. Administer medications and educate patients on drug interactions. Participate in patient and family education, providing explanations of conditions. Evaluate the effectiveness of care and document outcomes. Perform skin care and preventive measures for decubitus ulcers. Assist physicians during treatments and diagnostic procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatment and responses. Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred Experience Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date Licenses & Certifications Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required Specialized certifications as needed About Northwell Health Northwell Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
