Welder Blaze Equipment - 30 - Fort Worth, TX 76135 Position Summary The Welding Technician is responsible for operating appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Key Responsibilities Assist in unloading trucks as needed Practice good housekeeping of work area Able to attend on-call schedule for weekend/after-hours callouts Withstand extreme temperatures Read SAE and Metric measurements Willing to learn parts diagrams and blueprints Able to learn forklift and telehandler operations Determine the appropriate welding equipment for a method based on requirements Operate angle grinders to prepare the part that must be welded Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces Identify opportunities to increase parts sales and improve margins Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or business training preferred. 24 years of experience in parts sales, inventory management, service operations, or a related field. Experience in equipment, industrial distribution, or service shop environments preferred. Knowledge & Skills Self-motivated Organization Good multi-tasking ability Reasoning skills Able to stand the entire shift Able to work in cold/hot outdoor environment Safety-conscious Basic math skills Strong communication skills Able to operate warehouse forklift Able to lift 50 lbs Design project Able to use an oxy-acetylene torch proficiently Measuring and cutting materials to specifications Weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead) Proven experience as a welder Work Environment Work is performed in a parts warehouse, shop, or service facility environment.
