Emergency Veterinarian

We are working on behalf of a well-established, AAHA-accredited specialty and emergency hospital in Raritan, NJ that is looking to welcome an Emergency Veterinarian to its team.

This is a hospital people stay at, with many team members having been there for more than 20 years, and that kind of retention says a lot about the culture. Daytime shifts are the main focus, with swing and overnight shifts also available, plus relief and part-time options for those who want more flexibility. Overnight doctors work on a block schedule, grouping shifts together followed by real time off, so the schedule stays consistent and sustainable rather than fragmented.

You will work alongside experienced emergency veterinarians, board-certified specialists, and credentialed technicians, with close collaboration between the ER and specialty services and strong support from hospital and regional leadership. The hospital is fully equipped for emergency medicine, with digital radiography, ultrasound, a comprehensive in-house lab including blood gas and coagulation testing, canine and feline endoscopy, oxygen cages, and a dedicated emergency surgical suite. About You

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college of veterinary medicine
• You hold, or are eligible for, licensure in New Jersey, along with DEA registration
• At least 1 year of experience in emergency practice
• Confident diagnostic, surgical, and case management skills
• Calm, clear communicator with clients and colleagues, especially in high-stress situations
• Team player who values collaboration and high standards of care
