Qualifications State security license and additional 32‑hr BSIS security training (additional training can be obtained during the hiring process) High school diploma or GED Authorized to work in the United States At least five years of security experience 21+ years of age Baton permit OC spray permit Handcuff permit Candidates with current or former military or law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply First‑aid certification is an asset Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift Security, military, or law enforcement experience is advantageous Responsibilities Observe, survey the area, and provide reporting on activity at the assigned location Work indoors and outdoors in a variable environment Provide rapid response in critical situations Read and write detailed reports Enforce customer procedures, regulations and standards Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity React quickly to threats or incidents Detain and search individuals Document incidents and actions taken Respond to alarms and conduct on‑site checks Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property Benefits Location: Union City, CA Schedule: Full time, 32 hours per week (Wednesday - Sunday, 4:00pm - 1:00am) Competitive hourly wage: $34 per hour (DailyPay available for GardaWorld employees) Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer matching, disability coverage, and life insurance options Uniform provided at no cost Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld In the United States, GardaWorld Security remains the only guarding security company to be Certified by Great Place to Work .
