This role combines hands-on engineering, technical leadership, modern web development, cloud architecture, AI-assisted engineering, and specification-driven development practices.What You Will Do:Design, develop, and support scalable web applications, APIs, and integrations.Lead technical solution design and architecture decisions across complex initiatives.Develop modern digital experiences using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and cloud-native technologies.Implement resilient integrations with enterprise platforms including Dealer ERP, DLS, Helios, ONE, and other business systems.Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and DevOps practices.Collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX, Architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.What You Will Have:Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.Systems Thinking: Knowledge of the critical interdependencies among individual system elements that help and hinder performance; ability to plan and design solutions that synchronize resources to achieve business results.Business Intelligence: Knowledge of business intelligence; ability to utilize business processes and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data that helps the organization make better business decisions.Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of application design and architecture principles and practices; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools, and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.Systems Software Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction; ability to design and build a fundamental architecture of operating systems, database management systems, communications protocols, compilers and other development tools.Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.Considerations For Top Candidates:5+ years of software engineering experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications.Strong experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, REST APIs, and modern web development frameworks.Experience deploying and supporting applications on Vercel and/or cloud platforms such as AWS.Strong understanding of microservices, API-first design, event-driven architecture, Micro Frontends (MFE), and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns.Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, performance optimization, monitoring, and observability.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical discussions and decisions.AI & Specification-Driven DevelopmentDemonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar platforms.Ability to leverage AI throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews.Experience with Specification-Driven Development (SDD), translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications and implementation plans.Ability to create specifications that align requirements, architecture, development, testing, and deployment activities.Strong understanding of responsible AI usage, validation of AI-generated code, and engineering governance practices.Preferred SkillsExperience headless CMS, or composable architecture platforms.Composable commerce and digital customer experience platforms.Feature flagging and progressive rollout technologies such as LaunchDarkly.Contract testing, MSW, Playwright, Cypress, Pact, and modern QA automation practices.Experience leading platform modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.What Success Looks LikeDelivers secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions that improve customer experience and business outcomes.Leads adoption of modern engineering practices including AI-assisted development and specification-driven engineering.Improves platform scalability, developer productivity, and delivery predictability.Serves as a mentor while helping advance the organization's modernization strategy.Additional Informaiton:Relocaiton is not availableSponsorship is not availableWhat You Will Get:Working with a Fortune 100 leader, you can build your career on a global scale and take advantage of development opportunities with emerging technologies.
