Cardiac Catheterization Technologist | Tyler, Texas

Seeking a dedicated imaging professional with experience in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology to join an advanced Cath Lab environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to play a vital role in supporting complex cardiac procedures, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating closely with an expert medical team.


Schedule:

• Four days per week
• Ten-hour shifts

Key Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology school, associate degree in a healthcare-related field, or equivalent (required)
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• PALS certification (AHA required if working in Pediatrics)
• At least one year of acute care experience preferred
• Must have recent experience in electrophysiology (EP)
• State licensure required (Texas: MRT or LMRT by TMB)
• Preferred (not required): RCIS, RCES, RCS by CCI; Radiography (R), CI, CV, VI by ARRT; AB, OB/GYN, AE, RVT by ARDMS

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the cath lab and operate all imaging and diagnostic equipment specific to cardiac procedures (including fluoro imaging and digital image acquisition)
• Maintain stringent aseptic technique, assist with documentation, and accurately record hemodynamic data and ECGs
• Ensure major equipment is operational and maintain appropriate supplies for each procedure
• Support patient positioning, teamwork, and communication to maximize care quality and procedural efficiency
• Serve as a radiation safety representative for the care team
• Stay engaged in process improvement, patient safety initiatives, and uphold organizational core values
