Job Details: Job Location: Omak - WA, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $67.98 - $88.38 Salary, Closing Date: October 5, 2026 Position: Dental Health Aide Therapist Salary: $67.98-$88.38 Reports To: Dental Director Location: Omak, WA SUMMARY: The Dental Health Aide Therapist delivers comprehensive oral hygiene and preventative dental services to the tribal community under the Colville Tribes’ 638-operated dental program. The role includes clinical patient care, oral health education, and participation in community-based preventive initiatives. The incumbent works under the supervision of the Dental Director (or designee) and may occasionally travel to outreach site. The Dental Health Aide Therapist provides minimally invasive dentistry under the direction of the Dental Director. The individual works under the license issued by the Community Health Aide Program Certification Board-Standards and Procedures manual (Section 2.30.610(b)(1),(2) and (3): and holding a current Tribal Dental Therapist license. The Practice Agreement authorizes the individual to perform the standards of this position. Qualifications: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required. Associate of Applied Science in Dental therapy. Licensed as a Dental Health Aide Therapist. License re-certification every two years. Licensed by a federal community health aide program certification board or a federal recognized Indian tribe that as adopted certification standards that meet or exceed the requirements of a federal community health aide program certification board. HIPAA and Basic Life Support Certificate within initial 90 days of employment. Blood borne pathogen training annually. Ability to understand, speak, communicate and read the English language. Requires ability to utilize a multi-line telephone with good telephone etiquette. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Well-developed human relation skills to convey technical concepts to others. Ability to communicate technical information and to interact with a wide variety of groups and individuals inside and outside the organization. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work processes in a high-volume environment in order to meet schedules and timelines. Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and non-verbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language. Ability to take initiative and be proactive in the duties of the position in order to meet mandated deadlines and to comply with goals and objectives. Valid Washington State Driver’s License is required and be insurable. Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.
