Portfolio Manager, Investment Strategist

Support day-to-day oversight of TD Wealth firm discretionary portfolios and recommended investment solutions across U.S. Wealth platforms Support implementation and trading of tactical asset allocation changes within discretionary portfolios Conduct asset class research and fund coverage to inform portfolio construction and strategic positioning Partner with Senior Portfolio Managers on quarterly portfolio reviews, performance measurement, and attribution Deliver and support presentations on portfolio performance, asset allocation changes, and outcomes at investment oversight and governance committees Provide field support and serve as a key contact for investment advisors, relationship managers, and other stakeholders Explain portfolio construction, performance drivers, and tactical and strategic investment decisions Contribute to the development and design of investment solutions across U.S. Wealth platforms Lead and support investment research and due diligence for mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, UMA models, and alternative investments Provide research leadership and guidance on fund selection, affiliate managers, and mandates Lead affiliate investment manager research and due diligence for investment strategies and mandates Produce performance attribution analysis and commentary for funds, mandates, and portfolio exposures Manage relationships with research vendors and application providers Develop, articulate, and communicate TD U.S. Wealth’s investment strategy and outlook Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, market reviews, investment communications, ad-hoc research, and global investment publications Present investment views and research findings on national conference calls and at TD Wealth conferences Perform competitive analysis of industry, platform, and product trends Partner with Wealth Products teams to identify product and strategy opportunities Support advisor and relationship manager training and education programs Partner with Senior Portfolio Managers and internal teams on initiatives supporting business and sales goals Support customer service strategy and continuous improvement of partner/customer experience Contribute to an inclusive team culture, communicate project status, share knowledge, and provide training or guidance as needed Requirements University degree in a related field 10+ years of progressive experience in the financial services industry Expert knowledge of capital markets, macroeconomic factors and cycles, and the investment management landscape Significant knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs, UMAs, SMAs, and alternative investment product structures Significant experience using quantitative and qualitative due diligence and oversight criteria Experience in asset allocation/portfolio construction, investment manager due diligence/oversight, and performance evaluation/attribution analysis Strong analytical and technical skills Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word, is required Preference for CFA/MBA; CAIA is an asset Ability to execute well in a multi-task environment Effective communication skills Core Competencies Demonstrates expert knowledge of capital markets and investment management, with significant experience in asset allocation, portfolio construction, and performance evaluation. Proficient in conducting due diligence on mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative investments while effectively communicating investment strategies and insights.
