As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role supporting both front and back office operations within a collaborative clinical team. Key Responsibilities:

Greet and room patients efficiently, ensuring a welcoming environment

Assist with patient check-in, scheduling, and answering phone inquiries

Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight

Draw blood for laboratory testing and administer vaccines following proper protocols

Support clinical procedures and provide clinical support as needed

Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas

Support the dispensing of medications and collection of fees at the site

Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless patient care

Adhere to clinic protocols, including secure lock-up procedures and access management

Maintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Required Skills:

Minimum of 1 year of clinical medical assistant experience (including externships)

Certification as a Medical Assistant strongly preferred

Proficiency with phlebotomy/venipuncture and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems

Experience in occupational health settings is highly desirable

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in clinical documentation

Effective communication skills, with the ability to provide friendly patient service

Computer literacy and familiarity with healthcare software

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience with health education and outreach initiatives

Knowledge of fee collection procedures

Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required

Familiarity with specific physical requirements associated with clinical work

Preferred Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary healthcare certifications preferred

At least one year of relevant clinical experience, ideally in primary care or occupational health environments

Hands-on experience with EMR platforms and medication dispensing practices

Other Requirements:

Availability to work a schedule that includes shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, including days in June, July, August, and September

Ability to work at a dispensing site with two shared customer locations within an accessible area

Knowledge of clinic access procedures including security protocols

Physical ability to perform clinical duties including standing for extended periods and handling medical supplies

Valid certifications and licenses as required by state or local regulations
