Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse 1 - Correctional Health

Requirements:
- Valid NY State RN license (current registration) - required
- BLS certification - required
- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated individuals.
- Conduct nursing assessments and develop/implement care plans.
- Diagnose and treat responses to actual/potential health problems.
- Provide case finding, health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative care.
- Consult with treatment teams and participate on interdisciplinary teams.

Compliance / Notes:
- State criminal history form clearance required before start (may take up to 4 weeks).
- Returning staff must be away from any NY State facility for 2 years before returning.
