Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for performing high quality and accurate diagnostic x-rays in accordance with established procedures.
Job Functions
- Interacts with patients, providers, and staff in a professional and courteous manner to ensure safety for our patients.
- Produces high quality and accurate diagnostic x-ray and interventional exams.
- Assists with maintenance of equipment to ensure patient safety and proper working order.
- Reviews cases with Radiologist to ensure accuracy of clinical data obtained.
- Demonstrates room and equipment cleaning process between patients.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Work Experience
- Graduate of an AMA accredited school of Radiology
- Meet basic requirements for the ACR accreditation
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of anatomy and pathology seen on x-ray and CT scans
- Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
- Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
- Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
- Strong computer skills and basic Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to respond to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team
- Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills
License/Certifications
- CPR Certified
