What You'll Do
- Smiles and makes eye contact with guests / fellow staff members while working
- Relate in a friendly professional manner to shop guests and fellow staff members.
- Assist guests as needed or requested.
- Shipping/receiving/pricing/tagging product
- Managing back stock and rotating merchandise
- Maintaining incoming/outgoing inventory records
- Examining shipments/matching with PO/Invoice/Pkg. slips
- Working with vendors to rectify damaged merchandise/shorted items/back orders/improper pricing
- Timely pricing and distribution of product to ensure it gets on the sales floor as soon as possible
- Assembling product & displays as needed or directed
- Operate cash register as needed or directed
- Additional duties as requested or directed
Skills You'll Bring
- The shipping / receiving person is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized inventory room.
- Accurate account of inventory and proper pricing of product according to management guidelines.
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with guests and fellow staff members.
- Excellent Verbal and written skills
- Retail experience preferably in a specialty shop
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers and software programs; excellent math and analytical skills.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, sit and reach with hands and arms and frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Job Type
- Full-Time evening and weekends
- Requires the ability to work rotating schedules including some evenings, weekends and holidays
