Job Summary:
An Observation Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Olympia, Washington. This role involves providing care for adult and geriatric patients in a short-term acute care facility, focusing on long length of stay patients with complex needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Olympia, Washington
• Position: Observation RN in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE)
• Schedule: Days, 3x12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting, experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with long length of stay patients, trauma level II experience, community hospital experience, LTAC experience
• Float: Float rotation may be required to meet department needs, within scope, to various like units
• Additional Information: The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and social services. The unit manages patients with diverse diagnoses such as dementia, psychosis, autism, and post-acute long-term care patients. The environment requires handling complex patient needs, including behavioral issues and high-care assistance.
• Certifications & Skills: BLS certification, managing ports, blood product administration, colostomy/ileostomy care, CVA management, feeding tube care, isolation precautions, medication administration (e.g., nasal cannula, oxygen), peripheral line care, renal failure management, surgical drains, traumatic brain injury, wound care, acute care experience.
• Additional Requirements: Submissions must include two references covering one year (six months for CNAs) within the last three years during compliance; modules are non-billable and require approximately 16 hours to complete via Workramp, with over 20 hours needing project manager approval. Vaccinations for COVID-19 and flu are required.
