Inpatient Rehab Occupational Therapist

Role: Occupational Therapist responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve patients’ daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are delivered across a continuum in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and customer-oriented manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Implement and revise treatment plans collaboratively with patients and families, providing education, discharge instructions, and referrals. Evaluate patients’ needs, establish treatment goals, and develop individualized plans of care in coordination with physicians and families. Accurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge plans according to departmental guidelines. Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and professionalism while fostering teamwork and effective communication. Deliver exceptional customer service by applying AIDET principles, promoting a positive environment, and supporting patient and staff needs. Engage in professional development, mandatory training, and participate in orientation and training of new staff. Adhere to organizational policies, safety protocols, infection prevention, and participate in process improvement activities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Licenses and certifications: Occupational Therapist license and BLS certification.
