Job Opportunity

Position Overview

This role involves reviewing patient history and physician's orders, educating patients about procedures, and ensuring their understanding and cooperation. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and administering contrast media and/or medications as directed, monitoring patient conditions, and responding appropriately to any changes in status. Additionally, the individual will prepare equipment and supplies, implement safety standards, and carry out quality control procedures on imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the scope of practice.
• Continuously monitor patient condition and report/respond to changes as necessary.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, and report issues as necessary.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze imaging results and identify quality issues.
• Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

Facility Requirements

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association is required.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RD) and Computed Tomography (CT) is necessary.
• Education: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology; additional CT technology certificate program completion is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Radiology and CT.
• Flexibility to float between X-ray and CT departments.
• Shifts will be Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM.

Qualifications

• 2 years of clinical experience in Radiology and CT.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
