Cost Accountant

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team. As a Cost Accountant, you will be part of the finance and operations support team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Tipton, PA

Pay Range: $52,000 - $83,200

Shift: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm

What's the Job?

• Respond to internal and external customer requests with a sense of urgency and professionalism
• Perform data analysis and resolve discrepancies in inventory and manufacturing data
• Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations and physical counts
• Assist with monthly reporting including scrap, MUV, maintenance, and variance analysis
• Lead and assist with month-end closing preparations and special manufacturing projects

What's Needed?

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office, Word, and Excel
• 2 years experience (can include internship)
