Technician

Job Title Technician Reports To General Foreman Location Dayton, OH FLSA Status Full-Time / Non-Exempt Updated June 2026 Compensation and Benefits Up to $32.40 per hour. Includes paid health insurance, paid pension, and annuity. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Install low voltage copper and fiber optic cabling. Terminate and test copper and fiber cabling systems using certified test equipment. Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Repair and install network-enabled systems such as CCTV, Access Control, AV Control Systems, Central Sound, Video Management Servers, Projectors, Screens, Interactive Displays, etc. Assist in keeping building common and technology spaces neat, orderly, and safe. Accomplish work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, national and local codes, and industry standards such as TIA and BICSI. Update as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies. Attend toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency, including harassment prevention and ethics. Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification. Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Knowledge of the Low Voltage Integration or ICT industry. BICSI and/or AVIXA certification desirable but not required. Valid Driver’s License. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to commute to field locations and various job sites. The employee must have the ability to navigate around job site locations.
