About This Role

Little Sprouts Learning Center is hiring for substitute teacher(s). We’re looking for a caring, energetic team member to join our staff! Current opening(s) are pier diem to be on call for when our staff can not be at work. Candidates should be nurturing, reliable, and enthusiastic about early childhood education, have the ability to collaborate with other teachers and follow children’s individual needs and routines. Previous child care/teaching experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Must meet state licensing requirements (background check, health form, etc.).

Primarily responsible for maintaining a safe and nurturing environment while providing for the children's physical and emotional needs, which includes implementing the regular teacher's lesson plans, supervising activities, assisting with hygiene and mealtimes, documenting incidents, and ensuring adherence to safety and health protocols. Must also foster positive social development and effectively communicate with both children and staff.

Flexibility. Being at least 18 years old, having a high school diploma or GED, and passing a background check, which often involves fingerprinting and state-specific screenings. . Key qualifications also include excellent communication, patience, and the ability to nurture children and collaborate with colleagues

Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification.

Experience in early childhood education.
