Notes
- Respiratory care is provided to patients of all ages in both critical care and non-critical care areas.
- Minimum 1 year of worked or educational clinical experience in both general and critical care.
- 2+ years of hospital respiratory care experience preferred.
- Respiratory Care.
- Pulmonary Diagnostic Procedures.
- Medical Gas Administration.
- Ventilatory Support.
- Bronchopulmonary Clearance.
- Breathing Exercises.
- Patient Education.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
- Airway Maintenance.
- Associate Degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care Program required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care preferred.
- Current State of Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care (WSRC) membership preferred.
- English (Read, Write, Speak).
- Perform respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostic procedures.
- Administer therapeutic treatments and diagnostic testing using medical gases, respiratory equipment, environmental control systems, humidification, and aerosols.
- Administer medications to the cardiopulmonary system.
- Provide ventilatory support, including maintenance and management of life support systems.
- Perform bronchopulmonary clearance and breathing exercises.
- Provide patient education and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Maintain natural and artificial airways.
- Deliver respiratory care in critical care and non-critical care areas for patients of all ages.
- Perform duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of client.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Weekend and holiday rotation is required.
- No On-Call requirement.
- No Floating requirement.
