About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Active Illinois license required Certifications: ACLS and BLS required Must-Have: Interventional Cardiac Cath lab experience required Experience with circulating procedures, diagnostic catheterizations, left heart catheterization, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, right heart catheterization, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring required Experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and monitoring procedural sedation required Cerner experience required Description: The position is for a Cath Lab RN. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an average daily census of 25 patients. The unit consists of 5 rooms. The candidate must be available to work 2-3 weekends during the contract. On-call availability is required as needed. Candidates may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs. Schedule requests may be discussed with the manager. Candidates must have experience with specific cardiac procedures and medications. Candidates are also expected to interpret and manage dysrhythmias proficiently. This is an opportunity to work in a Magnet designated acute care hospital. This facility is a Level I trauma center. The hospital is dedicated to teaching and providing high-quality care to its patients.
