Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Full-Time | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to laboring and postpartum patients in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient outcomes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other ordered treatments in accordance with facility protocols
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic health record
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and support NICU-level care coordination as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills specific to obstetric care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a facility with a Level III NICU
• Familiarity with high-acuity obstetric cases and emergency delivery situations
• Previous travel nursing experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
