Job Summary Director, Market Access and Channel Strategy, US GI & Immunology – Cambridge, MA. Lead and oversee sustainable market access and channel strategies to secure optimal access positions for GI & Immunology products. Responsibilities Lead market access launch preparation for upcoming dermatology and immunology launches. Develop and oversee sustainable market access and channel strategies to ensure GI & Immunology BU products achieve optimal access positions for existing and future products. Collaborate closely with Managed Markets, Medical, HEOR, Marketing, Finance, Analytics and Sales colleagues to capture payer insights, identify data gaps, and develop compelling value propositions for field-based teams. Understand the reimbursement landscape and incorporate it into market access & pricing strategy. Work with HEOR to develop payer evidence needs and ensure integration into Medical/HEOR evidence plans. Manage and execute payer and channel specific marketing plans to achieve patient and business objectives. Ensure brand plans incorporate the needs of patients, payers and healthcare providers. Align organization on metrics to assess the impact of key market access strategies and tactics. Contribute to annual brand planning, forecasting and budgeting to represent payer and channel customer segments. Partner with New Product Planning and Business Development to inform market access inputs for early-stage/targeted assets. Identify payer/system specific opportunities for innovative arrangements based on brand strategies in collaboration with Strategic Partnerships. Oversee all payer and channel market research for relevant products. Develop next-generation Market Access and Channel Strategy talent. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required). 10+ years of experience in biopharma market access (across payer, PBM, IDN, GPO, Specialty Pharmacy, etc.) (required). Experience with biologics and specialty products (preferred). Visionary and forward-thinking with ability to influence and drive organizational change. Ability to identify opportunities for process and systems innovation and implement effective change. Demonstrated success in developing and executing targeted briefings for executive leadership, senior management and business leaders. Well organized, highly motivated, innovative, process-driven, results-oriented, with outstanding oral and written communication skills. Understanding of US payer market dynamics and managed care organization decision-making. Knowledge of specialty pharmacy operations, drivers and strengths to ensure a positive patient experience. Knowledge across multiple market channels: payer, PBM, IDN, distribution, specialty pharmacy, GPOs. Knowledge of the Commercial brand planning process. Financial acumen including resource allocation, budget management, reporting, strategic sourcing and P&L evaluation. Analytical capabilities to provide robust inputs to decision-making. Job Classification Hybrid – in accordance with Takeda's Hybrid and Remote Work policy. Compensation and Benefits Location: Boston, MABase Salary Range: $177,000.00 – $278,080.00. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, short- and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, plus well‑being benefits. U.S. based employees are eligible for up to 80 hours of sick time per calendar year and new hires may accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
