Banquet CookThe Crowne Plaza Union Station Hotel is looking for a skilled Banquet Cook. This position directly contributes to our guest satisfaction as it is perceived in the dining experience. If you are a great team player, we would love to talk with you!Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook menu items according to recipes, production sheets, and banquet event orders (BEOs)Assist with banquet food preparation for large-scale events and functionsEnsure all food is prepared and presented according to company and brand standardsMaintain proper food temperatures, portioning, and presentation during serviceSet up and stock banquet kitchen stations before eventsCommunicate with banquet captains, chefs, and kitchen staff regarding timing and event needsAssist with plating and buffet presentation during banquet functionsFollow all sanitation, food safety, and HACCP guidelinesProperly label, store, rotate, and date food productsClean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, coolers, and storage areasAssist with inventory, receiving, and stocking when neededWork efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailSupport other culinary operations as assigned by managementSkills and QualificationsPrevious banquet, restaurant, hotel, or high-volume cooking experience preferredKnowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipmentAbility to read and follow recipes and banquet event ordersStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidaysFood Handler Certification preferred (if required by local/state regulations)RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work in hot, cold, and fast-paced kitchen environmentsFrequent bending, lifting, reaching, and carryingBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance OptionsCompany Paid Life InsuranceCompany Paid TelemedicineSupplemental Life Insurance401(k) with company matchHotel Room DiscountsEarned Wage Access ("on-demand pay")Company Paid Employee Assistance ProgramPerks through Benefit HubGenerous Time Off PackageGeneral Hotels Corporation is committed to enriching lives through award-winning hospitality.
