Qualifications

NY State Registered Professional Nurse (RN)

Job Duties/Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing health care to students throughout the school day. Responsibilities include: medication administration per doctor's orders, complete medical procedures related to diagnosis following doctor's orders, assess illness and injuries and providing care accordingly, develop health care plans, respond to medical emergencies that occur within the building for students, staff and visitors.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Applicants require strong knowledge of nursing principles, skills and techniques.

Good observation skills, strong computer skills, the ability to take initiative, organizational skills, remain calm in emergency situations, patience, compassion, empathy, good moral character, strong communication skills
