Job Position: Quality Control Inspector

Location: TEMPLE, TX 76501

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr

Shift: 5:30am-4pm

Description: POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Inspector ensures that products meet established standards of quality, safety, and reliability by performing inspections at various stages of the production process. This role is responsible for interpreting blueprints, specifications, and work instructions; conducting precise measurements using tools such as calipers and micrometers; and documenting inspection results accurately. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interpret engineering drawings and collaborate with management and/or engineering to define specifications and quality standards.
• Select and inspect items at designated stages of production to verify conformity with requirements.
• Evaluate, record, and analyze data to validate compliance or identify deviations from specifications.
• Prepare clear written reports and correspondence; perform accurate mathematical calculations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; and proficiently operate precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Safely operate overhead cranes to move materials.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors regarding quality matters.
• Maintains punctual attendance and notifies supervisors in advance of any absences or tardiness.
• Maintains a safe, compliant work environment by following OSHA and company standards and reporting hazards or maintenance needs to the supervisor. Complies with PPE requirements and participates in safety training, drills, and incident reporting.
• Accurately complete and submit daily production sheets to the supervisor.
• Ensure that all prints remain with the correct parts throughout the process.
• Contributes to team effort and completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
