Fabrication Technician

Fabricator Technician Location: Bossier City, LA Starting Hourly Rate: $18.00 What You’ll Do Perform necessary pre‑operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment. Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops. Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams. Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications in a timely manner. Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials. Perform housekeeping and sanitation. What You’ll Need To Excel In This Role High school diploma/GED required. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment is required. Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Machine Shop. Have the ability to follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment. Have the ability to read fabrication/welding blueprints, schematics and manuals. Must be able to read tape measures and other measuring devices. Analytical skills and high‑level attention to detail are both required. Ability to work within a team and independently. Physical stamina, strength, and ability to handle heavy equipment are required. Must be able to multitask. Competencies/Skills Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Intermediate verbal and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Problem‑solving skills and analytical thinking. Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite.
