Childcare Facility Cleaner

About This Role Heritage Child Development Center seeks a detail-oriented and dependable Childcare Facility Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff. This part‑time role is crucial in ensuring classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and shared spaces are well‑maintained and sanitized to support children's health and daily learning. We offer flexible scheduling, preferably during the center's off hours, and will work with the right candidate to create a routine that fits their availability while ensuring the facility remains clean and ready for children to learn and play in a healthy environment. What You’ll Do Clean and sanitize bathrooms, ensuring they are free of dirt, grime, and germs. Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors, hallways, and common areas to maintain a clean and tidy environment. Maintain the cleanliness of entryways and high‑traffic areas, making sure they are free of dirt and clutter. Empty trash regularly to prevent the buildup of waste and odors. Carpet cleaning as needed to maintain the appearance and hygiene of the facility. Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces as needed to ensure they are streak‑free and sparkling. Clean high‑touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and countertops, to prevent the spread of germs. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and tissues to ensure the facility is always well‑stocked. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines required for early childhood settings to ensure the well‑being of children and staff. Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the management team. Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly to prevent accidents and injuries. Requirements Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must pass background checks required for childcare licensing to ensure the safety and security of children in our care. Comfortable working in a childcare environment and able to handle the unique challenges that come with it. Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
