Controller – Manufacturing (Onsite | Columbus, OH)We are collaborating with a manufacturer in Columbus, OH to find a proactive and visionary Controller to oversee all financial and accounting functions. This position goes beyond traditional accounting duties—the Controller will act as a crucial partner to leadership, shaping financial strategies, reinforcing internal controls, and securing the organization’s financial standing for the long haul.The ideal candidate is diligent, forward-thinking, and able to blend hands-on tasks with strategic financial leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise all fundamental accounting tasks, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and cost accountingEnsure prompt and accurate processing of vendor payments, customer invoices, and employee salariesMaintain adherence to federal, state, and local financial regulationsManage month-end and year-end closing procedures; collaborate with external CPA for audits and financial reportsCompile and submit all tax-related paperwork with precision and within specified deadlinesCreate and distribute budgets, financial statements, and operational dashboards for transparencyChampion financial planning projects, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term modelingAnalyze financial performance and provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadershipMonitor expenses and ensure alignment with budget objectives while identifying future financial requirements proactivelyIdentify and execute process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalabilityEstablish, guide, and lead a high-performing accounting teamAssist with additional financial and operational projects as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; relevant professional experience will also be consideredAt least 5 years of progressive accounting experienceStrategic mindset with the ability to anticipate financial patterns, risks, and opportunitiesStrong analytical abilities to translate financial data into practical insightsExcellent communication and collaboration skills with a team-oriented leadership styleProfessional demeanor with the capacity to represent the organization effectivelyAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and familiarity with ERP systemsExperience with accounting software like QuickBooks is highly desiredHigh ethical standards, integrity, and discretionExceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
