About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified CVICU RN in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, 86403!

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed blended ICU/CVICU setting with a 1:2 patient ratio, serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage complex cardiac and critical care diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, and trauma
• Operate Baxter infusion pumps and document care using the Medhost EHR system
• Respond to call requirements as scheduled by the unit
• Float to the Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and to the ED for admitted patients holding in the ED on an as-needed basis
• Maintain BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications throughout the assignment

• Active RN license valid in Arizona
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU/ICU experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

• Experience with CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR procedures
• Familiarity with Medhost EHR
• Experience managing ETOH withdrawal, overdose, and head injury patients in a critical care setting

• Work at a Joint Commission Accredited, Certified Chest Pain Center and Level III Trauma facility serving as a regional referral center in a scenic lakeside community with easy access to Las Vegas, Phoenix, the Grand Canyon, and Southern California
• Expected 36 hours per week in a dynamic blended ICU environment with exposure to a broad range of high-acuity cardiac and critical care cases
