A Surface Grinder technician works primarily with manual and CNC surface grinders to prepare metal parts according to blueprints, ensuring quality standards are met within a small team environment. This role involves machine setup, performing grinding operations, conducting basic quality inspections, and preparing surfaces for further processing.
Responsibilities
- Set up manual and CNC surface grinding machines
- Perform grinding operations on metal parts according to blueprints
- Conduct basic quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints for surface preparation
- Prepare surfaces for subsequent processing or finishing
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in surface grinding
